Waco homeowners don’t call a plumber because everything’s fine. They call because the water heater died overnight, a drain backed up before guests arrived, or a wall is suddenly wet for no obvious reason. Declan & Sons Plumbing exists for that moment. A real person on the phone, a plumber who shows up when they say they will, and a fix that’s explained in plain English before any work starts.
We work across Waco and Central Texas, and we built this business around one idea: plumbing service shouldn’t require homeowners to gamble on who’s showing up at their door.
Central Texas plumbing has its own personality. The region sits on limestone-heavy aquifers, which means hard water is the norm, not the exception, and hard water quietly shortens the life of water heaters, clogs fixtures with scale, and corrodes pipe fittings faster than homeowners expect. Add in the clay-heavy soil common around Waco, which shifts with our wet-dry seasonal swings and puts real stress on sewer lines and slab plumbing over time, and you’ve got a set of problems that a generic plumber unfamiliar with the area will misdiagnose.
We size water heaters and treatment solutions for actual local water conditions, inspect sewer lines with the soil movement in mind rather than treating every backup as a one-off, and repair fixtures with parts that hold up against scale buildup, not just whatever’s fastest to install.
Burst pipe, flooded floor, no working toilet- call any hour, and you’ll get a person, not a voicemail. We dispatch fast and charge the same rate whether it’s 2 pm or 2 am.
A slow drain is rarely just a slow drain. We clear the actual blockage, not just the part you can see, so it doesn’t come right back in a month.
Cold showers, rusty water, a unit that’s quietly dying years before it should. Usually hard water buildup at work. We repair what’s fixable and size replacements correctly the first time, tank or tankless.
Higher water bill, a damp spot that won’t dry out, a sound behind the wall you can’t place. We find hidden leaks before they turn into a torn-up floor or a mold problem.
Backups, slow drains throughout the house, or the smell of gas. These aren’t DIY problems. Camera inspection first, trenchless repair when the line allows it, code-correct gas work always.
New faucet, new toilet, full bathroom refresh — installed clean, sealed, and tested before we leave.
A real person answers 24/7. Upfront pricing before any work begins.
When something’s leaking, backed up, or dead in the middle of the night, you don’t want a mystery van and a guessing game — you want someone who picks up the phone. That’s the whole basis of how we operate: a real person answers, day or night, and we quote the job honestly before any work starts, so there’s no padded invoice waiting at the end. Most calls get same-day service, because a bad leak doesn’t wait for a Tuesday appointment, and neither should the fix. Waco homeowners keep calling us back because we show up, we’re straight about cost and cause, and we treat the job like it’s our own house

The customer service representative walked me through the annual service contract with a lot of patience. Despite challenging weather conditions, they managed to schedule my first plumbing service appointment. The whole team was impressive, particularly the technician who was assigned to my job. He bravely faced the inclement weather, when many would have retreated. Upon arriving, he wasted no time in diagnosing the problem with my kitchen sink drain. On two occasions in the past, a clog had resulted in drain water spilling into my dishwasher and onto my floor. His suggestion was to install a check valve to prevent any reverse flow. But he didn't stop there. He also added an extra check valve before the P-Trap, preventing any building water from backing up into the trap. His attention to detail was evident when he noticed missing levers from the sink shut-off valves and informed me. The technician didn't just focus on the immediate problem. He conducted a thorough inspection of the whole property as part of the first of the two annual checks. He even inspected the refrigerator ice-maker line at my request. Before leaving, he ran the dishwasher to ensure there were no leaks. The technician’s ability to explain everything clearly and repeat himself when necessary ensured I understood everything. His intelligence, knowledge, kindness, and patience made him a standout. You can be assured you're in excellent hands with this technician!Posted on Google weston saundersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
