Toilet & Fixture Installation in Waco, TX

Many homes throughout Waco’s older neighborhoods still have original toilets, faucets, and fixtures that are decades past their expected lifespan, inefficient by today’s standards, prone to leaks at the seals, and often difficult to repair once internal parts are no longer manufactured. Waco’s hard water also accelerates mineral buildup inside valves and fixtures, shortening their functional life even further.

Declan & Sons Plumbing installs and replaces toilets, faucets, sinks, showers, garbage disposals, and other fixtures throughout Waco, with attention to proper fit, water efficiency, and long-term reliability, not just a quick swap.

Signs It's Time to Replace a Fixture

Not every fixture problem needs a full replacement, but these signs usually mean repair alone won’t hold for long:

  • Constant running or phantom flushing in a toilet, even after replacing internal parts
  • Cracks in the tank or bowl, even hairline ones
  • A toilet that rocks or has become loose at the base
  • Faucets that drip persistently despite new washers or cartridges
  • Visible mineral scale buildup restricting water flow
  • Fixtures that are simply outdated, older low-efficiency models using far more water than current standards
  • Frequent clogging that seems tied to the fixture itself rather than the drain line
  • A garbage disposal that hums but doesn’t turn, jams repeatedly, or leaks at the base

If a fixture is more than 15–20 years old, replacement is often more cost-effective than continuing to repair it piece by piece.

Why Fixture Age Matters More in Waco Homes

Waco’s water carries a notable mineral content, which contributes to scale buildup inside fill valves, faucet cartridges, and showerheads faster than in areas with softer water. Older fixtures, many installed before low-flow standards became common, already use significantly more water per use than current models, and mineral buildup on top of that inefficiency compounds both water waste and the likelihood of a component failing internally. In many original-condition homes throughout Waco’s established neighborhoods, a fixture nearing the end of its service life is more the rule than the exception.

Toilet Installation & Replacement

We install both standard and specialty toilets, matching rough-in dimensions and existing plumbing configurations to avoid fit issues that lead to leaks or instability down the line. Options include:

  • Standard two-piece toilets for straightforward, budget-conscious replacements
  • One-piece toilets for easier cleaning and a lower-profile look
  • Comfort-height and ADA-compliant toilets for accessibility, aging-in-place renovations, or ease of use for taller household members
  • Dual-flush and high-efficiency toilets that reduce water usage per flush without sacrificing performance
  • Bidet toilets and bidet seat attachments for homeowners upgrading to washlet-style or smart fixtures

Every installation includes checking the wax ring seal, supply line condition, and shutoff valve function, not just setting the new toilet in place and walking away.

Faucet, Sink & Shower Fixture Installation

Beyond toilets, we install and replace:

  • Kitchen and bathroom faucets
  • Bathroom and utility sinks
  • Shower and tub fixtures, including valve replacement
  • Water-efficient showerheads and aerators

We match new fixtures to existing supply lines and drain configurations to avoid compatibility issues after installation, whether you’re replacing a single failing faucet or updating fixtures throughout a full bathroom remodel.

Garbage Disposal Installation & Replacement

A failing garbage disposal is often more cost-effective to replace than repair, especially once the motor itself is the problem rather than a simple jam. We install new garbage disposal units and replace failing ones, including:

  • Matching disposal horsepower and capacity to household needs
  • Proper connection to existing drain and electrical lines
  • Testing for leaks, jamming, and correct drainage before completing the job
ADA-compliant toilet installation

ADA-Compliant & Accessibility Fixture Installation

For homeowners planning ahead for aging in place, or accommodating a household member with mobility needs, we install ADA-compliant and comfort-height fixtures, including raised toilets, accessible faucet handles, and grab-bar-compatible fixture placement. These installations account for both code compliance and practical day-to-day usability, not just meeting a height specification on paper.

Water-Efficient Fixture Upgrades

For homeowners looking to reduce water usage or update older, high-consumption fixtures, we offer low-flow and high-efficiency options across toilets, faucets, and showerheads. These fixtures use less water per use than older standard models while maintaining comparable flush and flow performance, a straightforward upgrade for homes still running original fixtures from decades past.

If you’re unsure whether a fixture upgrade qualifies for any water utility rebate programs, we’re happy to point you toward where to check, though rebate availability and terms are set by the utility, not by us.

The customer service representative walked me through the annual service contract with a lot of patience. Despite challenging weather conditions, they managed to schedule my first plumbing service appointment. The whole team was impressive, particularly the technician who was assigned to my job. He bravely faced the inclement weather, when many would have retreated. Upon arriving, he wasted no time in diagnosing the problem with my kitchen sink drain. On two occasions in the past, a clog had resulted in drain water spilling into my dishwasher and onto my floor. His suggestion was to install a check valve to prevent any reverse flow. But he didn't stop there. He also added an extra check valve before the P-Trap, preventing any building water from backing up into the trap. His attention to detail was evident when he noticed missing levers from the sink shut-off valves and informed me. The technician didn't just focus on the immediate problem. He conducted a thorough inspection of the whole property as part of the first of the two annual checks. He even inspected the refrigerator ice-maker line at my request. Before leaving, he ran the dishwasher to ensure there were no leaks. The technician’s ability to explain everything clearly and repeat himself when necessary ensured I understood everything. His intelligence, knowledge, kindness, and patience made him a standout. You can be assured you're in excellent hands with this technician!

Our tech Gary was excellent. He made effort to get our up and running. Sadly for us, he discovered our motor was no longer operating. We just bought our building and expected the to not have much time after over 20 years.

Frequently Asked Question

How long does toilet installation take?

A standard toilet replacement typically takes under two hours, assuming no unexpected issues with the flange, subfloor, or shutoff valve.

Should I repair my toilet or replace it?

If the toilet is running constantly, cracked, or more than 15–20 years old, replacement is usually more cost-effective long-term than continuing to repair aging internal components.

Do low-flow toilets actually work as well as older models?

Modern low-flow and high-efficiency toilets are designed to match or exceed the flush performance of older models while using significantly less water per flush.

Do you install bidets or bidet toilet seats?

Yes, including both standalone bidet toilets and bidet seat attachments for existing toilets, as long as the bathroom has the necessary water and electrical access.

Can you install a fixture I purchased myself?

Yes, we can install customer-supplied fixtures. We’ll check that the fixture matches your existing rough-in dimensions and plumbing configuration before installation.

Why does Waco's water affect my fixtures?

Waco’s water has a notable mineral content, which builds up inside valves, cartridges, and showerheads over time, restricting flow and shortening the fixture’s functional lifespan compared to areas with softer water.

Do you remove and dispose of the old fixture?

Yes, removal and haul-away of the old fixture is included as part of installation, not billed separately.

Do you install ADA-compliant toilets and fixtures?

Yes, including comfort-height and ADA-compliant toilets, accessible faucet hardware, and fixture placement that accounts for grab bars or other mobility accommodations.
